On March 7, the Shanghai Teaching Center of the China Business School of the University of Hong Kong held a lecture [Dialogue on Thinking Change: Global Talent Trends and Overseas Development Directions]. The lecture focused on topics such as organizational management in the AI era, ESG (environment, society and governance) empowering Chinese companies to go global, and the opportunities and challenges brought by ASEAN's energy transformation.
As an alumnus of the fifth batch of organizational development and change management at the China Business School of the University of Hong Kong, Ms. Chen Zilan, Chairman of Shanghai Faquan Industrial Co., Ltd., was fortunate to be invited to share her learning experience and practical experience.
Organizational management changes in the AI era
The rapid development of AI technology is reshaping the landscape of organizational management. In the AI era, organizations need more flexible, efficient and innovative management models to cope with the rapidly changing market environment. AI is not only a technical tool, but also an important force to promote organizational change. Through AI technology, enterprises can achieve intelligent decision-making, optimize human resource allocation, improve work efficiency, and build a more agile and adaptable organizational structure. However, this also brings new challenges to organizational management, such as the need for employee skill transformation and the construction of human-machine collaboration models. How to achieve efficient management of the organization and sustainable development of employees while embracing AI technology has become a key issue that enterprises need to solve urgently.
ESG empowers Chinese companies to go global:
Opportunities and challenges brought by ASEAN’s energy transition
In recent years, the concept of ESG (environment, social and governance) has received widespread attention around the world and has become an important criterion for corporate sustainable development. For Chinese companies that are actively seeking internationalization, ESG is a key. The lecture emphasized that practicing ESG can not only help companies improve their social image and enhance their brand competitiveness, but also meet the regulatory requirements of the international market and break down trade barriers. From green and environmentally friendly production to fulfilling social responsibilities, and then to improving corporate governance structures, Chinese companies have achieved a win-win situation of economic and social benefits through ESG empowerment in the process of internationalization, and gradually gained a firm foothold on the global stage.
As an emerging force in global economic growth, the ASEAN region is in a critical period of energy transformation. This transformation has brought many opportunities to Chinese companies, such as cooperation in renewable energy projects and energy technology exports. The lecture deeply analyzed the current situation and future development trends of the ASEAN energy market, pointing out that Chinese companies are expected to play an important role in the ASEAN energy transformation with their technological advantages and industrial experience in the field of new energy. But at the same time, challenges such as cultural differences, changes in policies and regulations, and intensified market competition cannot be ignored. Companies need to conduct in-depth research and formulate precise strategies to get a share of the ASEAN energy market.
The [Change Dialogue] lecture of the China Business School of the University of Hong Kong provides a platform for in-depth communication between business managers and industry experts. In the era of AI and the context of globalization, companies need to constantly explore new management models and overseas paths. By empowering organizational management with AI, promoting internationalization with ESG, and seizing the opportunities of ASEAN's energy transformation, Chinese companies will demonstrate stronger competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities on the global stage.
