On May 15, the world's first fifth-generation "Changheng Series" 174,000 cubic meter large transport ship "Lv Neng Ying", which was designed and built by us for product development, was named and delivered five months ahead of schedule. This "sea super refrigerated truck" innovatively developed by the company and representing the highest technological level in the world's large LNG carrier field has finally changed from a construction drawing to a real scene. The birth of the "Green Neng Ying" has become a landmark event for China's transition from "following" to "leading" in the world's LNG ship field.

"Lv Neng Ying" is China's largest LNG carrier construction project to date - the first ship of the "CNOOC Medium and Long-term FOB Resource Supporting LNG Carrier Project", with a total length of 299 meters, a molded width of 46.4 meters, and a molded depth of 26.25 meters. , classified by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and China Classification Society (CCS). The ship uses the Chinese ship WinGD 5X72DF2.1 dual-fuel main engine installed with the latest intelligent control exhaust gas recirculation (iCER) system technology. It will ensure the safety of China's energy transportation, effectively improve the independent controllability of China's LNG transportation industry chain, and assist China's construction and manufacturing A powerful country and a maritime power are of great significance.



This "Changheng Series" ship model combines the latest design concepts, the best technical equipment, the strongest environmental protection performance, the most forward-looking, and the essence of the company's previous four generations of LNG ship design. It has four significant highlights:

● Good fast performance and low overall energy consumption

The Hudong-Zhonghua fourth-generation double skeg line type is used to achieve the best match between reducing self-propulsion resistance and improving stern propulsion efficiency, and achieves excellent propulsion chain integration coupling efficiency. It has been verified through multiple rounds of experiments in European pools that it can achieve excellent navigation efficiency in medium and high speed sections. Compared with the previous generation ship, the carbon emissions of a single day's voyage are reduced by more than 10 tons.


● Good low-temperature performance and wide cabin compatibility

This type of ship is designed with full consideration of compatibility and versatility, and can be equipped with both the NO96 series containment system and the MARK III series containment system. Especially when equipped with the latest generation NO96 Super+ system, the evaporation rate is 15% lower than the previous generation L03+ system, reaching 0.085%, providing a wider oil and gas balance speed range for low-carbon navigation. It can reach 120 LNG shore stations on all continents around the world and has excellent global versatility.


● The empty ship is light in weight and has strong cargo carrying capacity.

The entire ship adopts an integrated lightweight design concept to optimize the light ship weight from multiple dimensions. Compared with the previous generation ship, the whole ship has lost more than 1,500 tons of weight, has a higher cargo hold loading rate, and can load 800 cubic meters more LNG per voyage.


● Smart control and operation, good route matching

The ship can be equipped with an optional reliquefaction system of 1.5 to 2.3 tons, which can adapt to the different balanced utilization requirements of boil-off gas in different routes such as short-distance, medium-distance, and long-distance. The ship has strong economic control and can efficiently adapt to various types of diversified routes. Operational requirements.

It is understood that the "CNOOC mid- and long-term FOB resource supporting LNG carrier project" is divided into phases one and two, with a total of 12 LNG ships of 174,000 cubic meters built. If all is put into operation, about 7 million tons of LNG will be transported back from all over the world every year, which can meet the needs of 54 million families for nearly a year. This will be important for adjusting China's energy structure, improving environmental quality, improving people's living standards, and promoting the economy and environment. Coordinated development has important practical significance.


In December 2021, the "Changheng Series" ship model won the approval of four international companies including American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Bureau Veritas (BV), Lloyd's Register (LR), and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The General Design Approval (GDA), Preclassification Approval (PCA) and other certificates issued by the famous classification society successfully obtained the pass for actual ship construction, which immediately attracted global attention and an influx of orders. Up to now, the company has undertaken a total of 34 ships, becoming the brightest "pearl" in the international LNG ship market.



The company has been deeply involved in the LNG field for 27 years and has continued to break through key technical barriers and core capability bottlenecks. Its products have achieved full coverage from offshore to ocean, from inland to inland rivers, from small, large to ultra-large, and have delivered more than 40 LNG storage and transportation equipment in total. ship. It is particularly worth mentioning that at the end of April this year, the company undertook a construction contract for 18 of the world's largest ultra-large LNG carriers of 271,000 cubic meters, setting a record for the world's largest single shipbuilding order, demonstrating its strong strength in the field of high-end marine equipment.
